UGANDA GAVE ME PASSION FOR GOD

“Reaching teenagers for Christ grips our hearts.”

Savannah, George, Caroline & Emma

Hello! I hope your fall is going well! For the last couple weeks I have been busy in the best possible way. I got the pleasure of working on two separate videos for Cru High School. I have never worked with them and had little connection to the ministry. But, after getting to know the hearts of the staff, I am feeling energized and excited for the future. They shared their hearts with me, how these teens have gripped their hearts. There will never be a time when these young people will be more responsive, more accessible, more malleable, have more potential, or take more risks than when they are in high school. Virtually their whole lives are ahead of them, bursting with potential.

Many teenagers live in a world that seems to have it all: the latest cell phone, the most enriching activities, and the best education. But their lives are also often unraveling. There are so many things going on behind the curtain that they may never show. They might be confused about what it means to emerge into adulthood, or what their purpose is in life. That is where we found Savannah, Caroline, George and Emma. They were all in different place as they ended high school. Some knew exactly where they wanted to go next, and others were unsure of their next steps. But in the end they all were led by God to take a Gap Year with Cru. They gave their year off between high school and college to share the Gospel with other high school students around the world.

I had the wonderful opportunity to work on a Gap Year video and tell a small glimpse of their story. These four students, pictured above, experienced God's never-ending love for Ecuador and Uganda. George said that he thought he worshiped God until he experienced the passion the Ugandans have for God. Savannah said that she made deep friendships with her teammates that she never knew she needed and that they would last a lifetime.

Please be praying for more students to have life changing experiences, for Him to pursue and touch their hearts so deeply that they walk with Him for a lifetime.

It’s time once again to pursue students, in His strength, with the truth of His gospel. Thanks for linking arms with us too, to reach these students!

A few weeks ago, our Creative 1 Media Team met for our annual meeting. This is always a beautiful opportunity to come together as artists and seek God together in our work. This meeting is my favorite part of the year. It is always an amazing week with a group of really smart, talented and creative people. A staff member said to our team, “We are using imagination, creativity and beauty to proclaim the truth about Christ to the world.” I absolutely love sharing my talents to proclaim the Good News. Thank you for partnering with God in his work that affects so many lives. I am praying that God will work in the hearts of thousands of high school students as they see the two videos I have been working on, Gap Year and Getaway2020 which you can watch both on my website's homepage.
