IN THE TIME OF THE UNKNOWN
In this time of fear, worry, stress, and anxiety it is my prayer that we would turn to the one true hope we have, Jesus. He is our salvation and our joy. One Bible verse that has been on my mind is Ephesians 3:14-19. In this passage Paul is praying for a church. In this prayer he prays that they would “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ”. Christ’s love for us is immense, and even in times such as this Jesus calls us to experience more of his love for us. With that in mind I wanted to leave you with a prayer that you could pray each day. A prayer that would voice your desire to see and experience God’s love even when the world seems to be in chaos around you. Jesus loves you and I more than we could possibly imagine. His love is everlasting and unconditional, and it’s just waiting for us to dive in. Jesus, You are my savior, my redeemer, and my king. Even in times like this where the world seems to be in chaos, you are present. I ask that in this time whenever I am afraid, I would find courage in your presence. Whenever I am anxious, you would help me find peace. Whenever I am stressed, you would help me come to you for rest. Above all this, Jesus, I want to experience more of the love you have for me. Let it fill me up so that I may in turn give that love to others. Jesus, all of my hope is in you. I ask these things in your name, Amen It’s time once again to pursue students, in His strength, with the truth of His gospel. Thanks for linking arms with us too, to reach these students!

In the past few weeks I have found myself becoming impatient with God. Often asking Him “How long will this really last?” I have not been trusting in Him or focusing on Him. If you have not heard, Summer Missions have been cancelled this year due to COVID-19. Although I know this was a hard and wise decision, my heart breaks for those that were planning on going. I find that in these moments of sadness I need to bring these things to God and lay them at His feet. God touches students and changes their lives all the time. He doesn’t need a Summer Mission to do that. These students are still His and His will shall always be done. What is happening in the world right now is a disruption, and it’s scary cause we don’t know how to control it. But we never were, God is in control of our story, and He will never fail us.
Personally, I had some projects at a few local universities get cancelled since the campuses are closed. I am coming to the realization that I may be working on my last videos of this school year. While this was not my plan, I know God is still moving. I am currently working on four videos for our South Asian Ministry. I cannot wait for students to see what God has been doing through this ministry.
What this means for me this summer:
I will be finding my own projects to work on. Hopefully I will be able to return to local campuses, and interview staff and students who have stayed in the area. I will also be helping our Creative 1 Media Team with Administration. Our Project Coordinator is moving to Paris and joining a Cru Movement there. This means our Project Manager will need a little more support before the school year begins, and I am really excited for this opportunity. This is just another way to use the gifts God has given me to grow His Kingdom.
